WHAT IS A MINIATURE CIRCUIT BREAKER(MCB), HOW DOES IT WORK?

WHAT IS AN MCB

BCH is the best MCB brand in India BCH miniature circuit breaker is a high-performance device used for disconnecting short circuit current in any overload or faulty conditions of the network. MCBs from the best MCB brands in India are used instead of a fuse. A fuse might not sense the low voltage electrical current, so an MCB from the best MCB brands in India is much more reliable to overcurrent than a fuse.

BENEFITS AND USES

A miniature circuit breaker(MCB) from the best MCB brand in India is used to protect your electric appliances from irregular and faulty electric current, as it shuts down the electric circuit in any of these conditions.

An MCB from the best MCB brands in India is easy to handle and safer than a fuse. Also, the restoration of electricity is relatively easy; you have to switch on the MCB instead of rewiring or replacing a fuse.

An MCB is very simple to use and easy to replace. Its central part is the trip unit, responsible for its proper function. There are two types of trip mechanism in an MCB; an electromagnet that protects from short-circuiting and a bi-metal strip that protects from overload.

WORKING PRINCIPLE AND OPERATION OF AN MCB

Whenever an overcurrent flows within a miniature circuit breaker(MCB), its central part, the bi-metallic strip, gets heated and deflects as it bends. The bending deflection causes the release of a mechanical latch, which is connected to the operating system. This mechanical latch cause opens the contacts that in turn switches off the MCB. The MCB must be manually switched on to work again; this mechanism protects the electric circuit from an overcurrent.

Also, during short circuit conditions, an MCB from the best MCB brands in India works to protect your appliances.

During a short circuit, the current suddenly rises. This current causes plunger displacement, that trips the coil (solenoid), causing an immediate release of the latch mechanism to turn off the MCB.

This is the simple working operation of an MCB from the best MCB brands in India.
