The Seven Deadly Sins is an anime which comprises of ten characters or 10 commandments as called in the series. They are the antagonist of the series which were picked by the Demon Lord. This brings them with Ten Commandments each, or the powers each of them possess. These sources can be used on anyone who tries to come against them and no commandment can effect the other. They all belong to the Demon Clan. Although the anime may appear unusual but it is always interesting to watch.
Ten Commandments
Each of the commandment posses a set of powers which are discussed in detail below.
1. Mael (Estarossa)
This is the strongest of all the commandments and was also one among the Four ArchAngels. He is the commandment of Love so if anyone has hatred possessed by him then he will not be able to bring any damage in a fight. Full counter and Hellblaze are the main powers possessed by Mael. His combat starts at 60000 but after absorbing the commandment of truth Galand it increased to 88000.
2. Zeldris
Zeldris is the younger brother of the Meliodas and the commandment of piety which would make anyone a slave of the Demon King or himself if shown back. His combat class is of 61000. He can access Hellblaze and two other abilities. He can also nullify the magic attacks because god has given him the portion of power. Ominous Nebula is another power which would slice anything in its way through creating a vortex.
3. Drole
This is a giant and his commandment is Patience. He was killed in a fight with Chandler with Gloxinia alongside and after his death his rule of commandment was stated. The combat class of Drole is 54000. His ability is Ground through which he can use the Earth to create power dwarfs as his creation. His power can be raised by Drole’s Dance.
4. Monspeet.
The commandment of Reticence, if Monspeet is opposed due to their inner emotions or feelings then their voice is blocked. The combat class of Monspeet is 53000. His greatest expertise is in using Hellblaze. Although others also use it but he is best at it by creating black flames. He can also switch two objects at his will by using Trick Star. In the battle against Estarossa he saved Derieri by sacrificing his life.
5. Drieri
He is the commandment of Purity although ironically he is half covered in his own darkness in a rocking hairstyle. Her rules of commandments were revealed after her death. Fight was set up with teaming of Drieri, Tarmiel, Sariel, King and Gowther, after Eastsrossa reveal to be Mael. In this fight Mael pierced the Derieri ‘s heart thus claiming the commandment she possessed. Her combat class is 52000. Combo Star is her main ability giving her 200000 pounds of added force which resets if interrupted.
6. Gloxinia
She is the commandment of Repose but before becoming that he was the first King of Fairy Forest his death occurred with Drole when he was fighting Chandler who was the firmer master of Meliodas. The combat class of Gloxinia is 50000. He has Spirit Spear Basquias which can change forms but mostly his form is that of having tentacles around his body. He shares his power with King and that is of disaster and can manipulate the nature. .
7. Galand
His combat class is 27000 making his commandment the weakest of all. His commandment is truth so any one can be turned to stone if found out that he is lying. His combat class however is raised to 40000 with his main ability of Critical Over. He had set the rules of the battle against Escanor but when he was petrified in day by Escanor’s powers he trued to flee. This turned him into stone due to his own commandment.
8. Gayroad
Pacifism is his commandment and she was the one locked up after the loss of Ancient War. Due to her commandment if anyone is killing in her presence the life of that one will be speedy until they die. The combat class of Gayroad is 39000. Most of the power is coming from magic and Curse is her main ability. Her ability does not allow her to break the commandment she has since she can spread disease.
9. Melascula
She is a giant snake who grew up from a small snake. She becomes this giant hooded snake when exposed to Miasma. Faith is her commandment and anyone showing unfaithfulness will have eyes set on fire in her presence. Her combat class is 34000. ■■■■ Gate is the main ability possessed by her. She can freely use the portals she makes for herself. Melascula is captured in a test tube by Merlin after Elaine, Elizabeth and Gowther had paralyzed her returning to original form.
10. Fraudrin
Fraudrin is the weakest of ten commandments which is Selflessness. He replaced Gowther after he occupied the body of Holy Knight Dreyfus. The power of his commandment is for selfish people who will lose their feeling, memories and sense of self. The combat class of Fraudrin is 31000. He can grow enough to increase the spirit and strength by his ability of Full Size. He died by the single hit he got from Meliodas by completely turning to ashes.
How were the ten commandments formed
The formation of ten commandments took place when the Demon King took the rule of Demon realm and decided to distribute his power among his servants so that they can combine to take over the existence. Keeping the risk in mind that none of the power is given to one individual to be exploited so he divided in into ten commandments. All the characters in the anime are well crafted for the audiences to get fully entertained. The storyline exhibits thrill, valour and excitement all needed to make a splendid series.
