Whenever I explain to someone I love healthy meals, the first thing they surprisingly asked me if I eat salad all day long. I actually don’t really like a salad that much, that’s the truth. It looks like every mother has an Italian salad dressing recipe they promise by, and here is mine. You’ll not find this one as sweet as many of the others one’s you’ll find on the store shelf. It is filled full of herbs and has a nutty, nice flavor. Blessing to a magical dose of parmesan cheese.
Excellent for: Side salads, dipping breadsticks, antipasto salads, fish or chicken, pasta salad ( finger-licking’ good with lasagna).
Greek yogurt blue cheese
You either hate blue cheese or love it, and I’m on the love side. This dressing is tangy, creamy, and earthy. If you want to keep this dressing vegetarian make sure to pick up vegetarian sauces.
Like the above dressing, using a base of whole milk yogurt adds a mind-blowing boost of protein and healthy fat. You can use low-fat greek yogurt if you had like to make the dressing lighter.
Excellent for: dipping hot wings, steak salads, iceberg wedge salad, any hearty salad that can strong on the blue flavor of the cheese.
Note: Use a fork to smash big pieces and down, if your blue cheese is chunky.
