How tall is Kristoff? Kristoff is approximately 5.10” tall i.e. 177 cm. Kristoff Borgman, a tall, rough, attractive 21-year-old young man from 2013’s famous animated movie Frozen. His physique is an accurate representation of his rough life as a mountain-dwelling ice harvester.
|Characters of Frozen Movie||Height in inches|
|Hans||5.7” or 6’/6’1|
Kristoff has his build as a distinct dissimilarity on most Disney Heroes. Where Hans is a perfect illustration of the traditional Disney height, only a few inches taller than Anna and of an easy size to embrace.
On the other side, Kristoff has large hands and feet, broad shoulders, and a well-built physique. He is significantly larger than Anna, and is shown bending when talking to her and when entering Oaken’s trading post.
He has fair skin, light brown eyes and with a few freckles across his nose. Kristoff’s nose is quite big and his cheeks have a tendency to to redden a lot, either from the cold or embarrassment.
Kristoff has blond hair and his hair are more golden than Anna’s, but are not as pale as Elsa’s. His hair is also later described as “unmanly” by the trolls in the song “Fixer Upper”.
In the movie, his childhood outfit consists of a long-sleeved royal purple shirt, dark trousers and a purple sash.
As an adult, he is wearing a a dark bobble-hat (which he later gives to Anna when she is freezing to death), thick dark tunic with a fur-lined burgundy with purplish-brown collar, a dark blue long-sleeved undershirt, and a blue patch on his right elbow, a reddish-purple sash tied around his waist, brownish-green mittens, thick dark trousers, and fur-lined dark brown boots with sharp toes.
Until the end of the film, we see him wearing pretty much the same outfit.
The only addition to his dressing were the thick tunic and gloves, as it has become much warmer.
Kristoff is a bit of an eccentric and acts as a loner. He spent many years of his life without any real contact outside of the trolls and Sven.
Which made him rather bad-tempered and selfish at times, as well as a bit lazy.
But with all his failings he owns a heart of gold, as this ice harvester has shown multiple times throughout the film that he deeply cares for those who treat him with love and sympathy.
He has a loving heart for his friends, such as Sven, the trolls and later Anna.
We can see his love and care towards Swen.
Also, Kristoff’s loving side is luminously showcased during his time with Princess Anna.
Though, Kristoff was unconcern in going to find Elsa or assisting Anna in conquering the mountains, but soon comes around as Swen persuaded him continuously.
And later in this journey, Kristoff becomes attracted towards Anna’s sweet and fun-loving ways, becoming very devoted to her and protective of her.
By the end of the movie, Kristoff and Anna fall in love completely. Nevertheless, the mountain man shows to be quite the shy and awkward one around his sweetheart, this once again showing his softer side.
Kristoff is a Sami and by profession he is an ice harvester. Kristoff grew up an orphan. Once in his childhood, he saved a brown reindeer, Sven, and the two became friends.
He along with his friend Sven was raised by trolls. He lived an isolated life and interacted with other humans only when it was necessary. Though he preferred the company of Sven.
In the movie he accompanied Anna, strictly as a business arrangement to retrieve her sister Elsa. But he eventually develops feelings for her and strove to ensure her safety.
Kristoff and Sven have been good friends since childhood. Even as a calf, Sven helped him with his ice harvesting endeavours, a behaviour that continued into their adulthood.
They not only work together, but the two also feasted together, going as far as sharing the same carrot.
With the passage of time, Sven effectually became Kristoff’s conscience, as his friend often simulated conversations with him, especially in times of need.
In one such interaction, the reindeer was able to convince the ice harvester to help Anna by continuing to accompany her on her journey.
Sven has also exhibited an acute awareness of his friend’s feelings, having prevented the menacing ice harvester from leaving Anna in Arendelle.
Throughout the movie, Sven is ready to risk anything to help Kristoff, having kicked the ice harvester to safety while plunging into the icy creek himself.
Kristoff’s bond with his reindeer Sven is a perfect example of his soft side, as he’s shown to put Sven over anyone else, he goes as far as to only save Sven’s carrots when his sledge was seconds away from being smashed, feeling that Sven’s joy and health are far more important.
Kristoff is also seen doing voice-overs for Sven.
He was able to understand the reindeer’s thoughts by means of his expressions, and thus decided to simply speak for him when they have conversations.
They also share a twosome together, a duet; their nightly lullaby.
And rendering to the lyrics of this lullaby “Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People”, Kristoff apparently showed his cynicism towards others, believing people will only hurt, and cheat him.
During his early years, Kristoff mostly go together with the ice harvesters. In spite of his age, he worked hard to earn his place amongst the grown men.
One night when he was eight years old, he was following the other ice harvesters back to Arendelle on a small sledge pulled by Sven.
There, he noticed two horses with their riders rush past and was surprised when he saw that there was a trail of ice being left behind.
He was curious and abandoned his sled and mounted Sven to see where the trail of ice led, the two shortly reached the Valley of the Living Rock.
Till now we discussed about how tall is Kristoff? His appearance, facial features, his personality, early childhood, occupation, his friendship with Sven, and his first arrival in the Valley of Rock where he saw Anna’s being treated by trolls.
While having an overview of this movie, we will understand the character of Kristoff in a better way.
As the movie begins, we see Kristoff as an 8-year-old orphan boy with baby reindeer, Sven, who becomes his best friend. He is trying to yield ice like grown-up icemen do.
One night, while he was on his way, he finds the royal family bringing their daughters to meet the trolls. The little Princess Anna faints after her sister, Princess Elsa, unintentionally hits her head with her power of controlling ice and snow.
Kristoff watches as the king of the trolls, Pabbie, heals Anna’s head. At the same time, a female trolls named Bulda keeps and raises Kristoff as her own son.
Kristoff and Sven are now selling ice in Arendelle for business, and are seen out in the village during Princess Elsa’s coronation after the death of the original sovereigns.
Whilst the kingdom is throbbing with enthusiasm and celebrations, Kristoff is there to do business with his ice. Of course, he is not attending the party at the castle; that’s only for royalty and other VIPs.
Elsa freezes the kingdom. We see Kristoff arriving at Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna and there he runs into Anna for the first time after many years while buying rope, an axe, and carrots for his reindeer friend after experiencing a rough blizzard in the North Mountain, that completely covered in a layer of ice and snow.
As snow covered him all up, the things that are visible are his eyes, and later the bottom half of his face when he lowers his scarf.
Anna realizes that the blizzard is Elsa where on the other hand Kristoff gets into an argument with Oaken and calls him a crook, causing an upset Oaken to toss him out.
Kristoff then decides to stay in a nearby shed with Sven for the night until the Princess buys him the items he wanted, and asks him to guide her to the North Mountain.
He refused at first, but after Anna tosses him the stuff he wanted to purchase, he agrees to take her in the morning, but she demands they leave in that moment, which he agrees to after she reveals that she also purchased Sven’s carrots.
Anna explains her desire to marry Hans even though they just met that day and Kristoff argues as he doesn’t understand how a girl can marry someone she just met.
They are then chased by wolves, and are about to fall off a cliff, but he tosses Anna onto Sven’s back and cuts the rope to the sledge, causing them to jump to the other side safely, but Kristoff’s own sleigh, along with all their supplies, falls to the bottom and catches fire from the sleigh’s lantern.
Kristoff was sad, and Anna tells Kristoff that she will buy him a new sled and that he doesn’t have to help her anymore.
Kristoff is about to leave her, but Sven tells Kristoff that if he doesn’t help Anna, she will die, and he won’t get his new sled if she is no more and urges him to continue the journey with her.
Movie starts with young Kristoff who with his friend Sven arrived in the Valley of Rocks seeing Anna being treated by Pabbie. Anna at that time was accidentally hit by Elsa. Years later Queen Elsa left palace in distress and Anna seeked Kristoff’s help to retrieve her sister.
Elsa’s ice palace, made them speechless, awestruck by how beautiful and complex the ice palace is. Sven, Olaf, and Kristoff who is reluctant about not seeing the rest of this amazing structure wait outside while Anna tries to persuade Elsa to come back.
The ice- princess, worried about harming her sister, refuses, and tells her to go back while she lives alone and free in the mountains.
Anna, however, informs Elsa that she had unintentionally set off an eternal winter in the kingdom.
She tries to convince Elsa that she can undo it, but Elsa creates a snowstorm inside and accidentally strikes Anna, freezing her heart.
Elsa then creates Marshmallow to throw her, Kristoff and Olaf out. As they escape, Kristoff notices that Anna’s hair is turning white.
Understanding that Elsa struck her again, Kristoff have confidence in he has a solution, and leads them all to the Valley of the Living Rock, where the trolls reside.
Upon their arrival to the Valley of Stone, Kristoff begins talking to the trolls, who, at the moment, look like normal rocks.
The trolls then disclose themselves properly, and start greeting Kristoff. Kristoff probes as to the whereabouts of Grand Pabbie, and trolls tell that he’s currently asleep.
Kristoff’s adoptive mother - Bulda - instantly assumes Anna is Kristoff’s girlfriend, but the two deny any romance. However, Bulda and the trolls try to convince them by telling them they’re meant for each other.
Trolls arrange an entire wedding, but before it’s complete, Anna faints and loses her balance, with Kristoff catching her in his arms and anxiously apprising the trolls she’s freezing cold.
Pabbie is powerful, but he seems unable to heal her. He tells them that lest Anna can perform an act of true love, she’ll freeze and die.
Bulda believes the act of true love would be “true love’s kiss,” which made Kristoff to take Anna back to Arendelle so she may have a kiss from Hans, her supposed true love.
They reach Arendelle, and Kristoff sadly leaves her to Hans’ care, trusting that she will be truly happy with him. He then rides off, away from Arendelle, visibly miserable and sad.
During her mission to bring Elsa back, Anna was again struck by Elsa. Kristoff along with Sven and Olaf bring her to the Trolls for her treatment. Though trolls mistook Anna as Kristoff’s girlfriend but they told them that only True Love’s kiss will save her.
Hans on the other hand, doesn’t really love Anna. He was only using her to become the sovereign of Arendelle. He revealed himself and let her die in cold.
As Kristoff heads out, Sven tries to influence him to go back, but Kristoff believes that Anna now has a true love and doesn’t need him.
In the meantime, Olaf who got detached from the group, finds Anna lying in the library cold, and he starts a fire for the princess. Whilst, the reindeer starts pushing Kristoff back towards Arendelle.
Olaf sees them heading back, and tells Princess that Kristoff is the one that truly loves her, and it’s his kiss that can save her.
Meanwhile, Hans informs the visiting notables that Elsa killed Anna, and before she died, they married, and now he is the king. The lie is consumed, and he gains the throne.
Hans now follows the queen into the fjord to kill her and to put this winter to an end. Though Anna and Olaf arrive in the fjord as well, but Elsa’s escalating fear causes a harsh blizzard, that speeds up Anna’s dying process.
Anna notices Hans and Elsa not too far away where the evil prince is seconds away from murdering the Snow Queen with his sword.
So, she sacrificed her life for her sister, and puts herself between Elsa and Hans, freezing to death seconds before the sword hits her.
The sword though shatters against Anna’s frozen hand, and Hans is bashed out from the impact just as Elsa realizes what happened.
She ruefully mourns her sister, as Kristoff, Sven and Olaf, who have just arrived, watch gloomily from a distance.
However, Anna’s sacrifice as she truly loved her sister, and she is soon revived from her death, much to everyone’s complete joy.
Anna’s revival comes with the entire kingdom’s defrosting and Elsa realizes that she needs to harness the power of love to end this eternal winter.
Kristoff is now ready to beat up Hans for what he did. But Anna stops him and assure him that she’ll handle this. After that she punches Hans herself, and knocked him overboard.
After the peace of kingdom is restored, we see Anna leading blindfolded Kristoff to the docks. She then removes the blindfold, and Kristoff sees a new sleigh as sworn by Anna.
Though Kristoff denies the offer, but Anna tells him that there is no taking back. And that, Elsa has named Kristoff as the “official Arendelle Ice Master and Deliverer.”
When Anna asked him whether he loves it, Kristoff jubilantly picks Anna up and spins her round, overjoyed to the point that he wants to kiss Anna, but becomes self-conscious and puts her down.
Seeing Kristoff reluctant, Anna kisses him on his cheek and allows him to do so for real, then
Elsa creates an ice-skating rink in the castle yard, rejoicing her return as a queen, as well as the return of summer. Kristoff is last seen skating with Olaf, Sven, Anna, Elsa and the others during the finale.
Hans being an evil character, let Anna die freezing. He then went to kill Queen Elsa. Kristoff was forced by Sven to get back to princess Anna. While Anna sacrificed her life to save Elsa and her true love for her sister restored the kingdoms peace. Hans was punished and all lived happily ever after.
