Drano and Green Gobbler work well for cleaning clogged sewers in commercial and residential buildings. Although Drano is a drain cleaner, it is not recommended for use in toilets. Green Gobbler is environmentally friendly and EPA approved for safe use in most waste materials and pipes.
Use a plastic spoon to pour a few tablespoons of dish soap directly into the drain opening. Then pour in about a quarter cup of water to distribute the lye as much as possible. Let it sit for about half an hour, then rinse the drain with warm water. You can also mix the lye with the water before pouring it down the drain.
