Westminster, 1777.

Windsor, 1777-1791.

On November 8, 1805, the General Assembly voted to dedicate Montpellier as a seat of government. The legislature met in Woodstock in 1807 and then moved to the next new capital in 1818, which became the center of government and commerce.
