Big Root Bear (GRB)
Roy Allen first introduced his A&W roots to the public in June 1919. Its first permanent A&W booth was in Lodi, Kalia, the second is in Sacramento, Kalia , considered to be the first facility in the country with a sidewalk service server.
Allen bought an A&W prescription from an Arizona pharmacist. Three years after selling his company, he hired a partner, Frank Wright, who was employed by Lodi, Kalia. Both used their initials to name their drinks A and W, which became the A&W root.
The company is named after partners Roy Allen and Frank Wright and has the illustrious Great Root Bear.
I think A&W is a symbol of drinking roots.
