Ti Electron Configuration
The formation of an 2 + electron ....?
T configuration is 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 4s2 3d2. When 2 electrons are lost to form Ti2 +, the first 2 electrons that are lost are 4s2. So Ti2 + = 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 3d2. When TI forms T4 +, 3D2 is also lost.
