  1. Court ruling that a particular evidence be excluded from a trial because it was illegally obtained. See also suppression of documents.

  2. Concealment, destruction or withholding of, or refusal to give, material evidence which one has or knows and is legally or morally bound to reveal. It is normally considered obstruction of justice, a criminal offense.
