  1. Inventory items that have been transferred from the pick area, packaging area, inspection area, or general warehouse area to the location where they are ready to be loaded onto a shipping vehicle. Keeping the flow of outbound shipments consistent is critical for preventing accumulation of staged inventory. Inbound inventory may also be staged as part of the putaway process.
