Ssw Wind
What does SSW mean? 3
I think it determines the direction of the wind, but does that mean the wind is blowing from SW or DE SW? (Or other address as indicated)

In meteorology, we define where things come from, not where they go.
This application is on cranes, fronts, etc.
When the wind is officially spoken, National Weather Service broadcasts, media broadcasts, and other over-the-air broadcasts tell where the wind is coming from. SSW wind there means that the wind is blowing from the southwest.
The direction shown is the direction the wind is blowing.
SSW means a little further south than the southwesterly wind.
