It is normal for the drum in a new top-loading washing machine to move freely from side to side or front to back.
A grinding noise from the drum during washing and spinning is usually an indication that the drum bearings are worn. To check this, spin the drum back and forth, the movement should be smooth and easy with very little resistance or noise.
However, the problem gets worse very quickly and therefore it is necessary to replace the drum and pads or the washing machine. If the washing machine is making a lot of noise, the storage space in the tub may need to be replaced. If the washing machine makes a lot of noise, the drive wheel may be worn, cracked, loose or bent.
The most common cause of a noisy washing machine is that the tub is cluttered or that the laundry is unevenly distributed in the tub. As a result, the washing machine’s inner tub spins unevenly, often hitting the outer tub and producing shore noise.
Free weights are another source of noise in the washing machine. Weights are attached to the drum and help to control excessive movement as the drum rotates. But if the weights come loose, they can make a very loud thud and you’ll need to squeeze them.
Line up the washing machine
It is possible to replace it, but it depends on the make and model. Some cheaper models and newer machines have sealed outer drums, so the bearings cannot be replaced - you will need to replace the entire drum.
The preload and top load washers use bearings that may fail during use. Over time, water seeps through the seal and rusts the bearings. Rusty bearings are the main cause of the loud noises heard when the washing machine is running.
As soon as the drum rolls enter a washing machine, they make a rumbling noise. Many people doubt that the noise from the washing machine is really a worn out drum roll or something else.

The machine can be left with noisy bearings for a while, but at some point the bearings will disappear completely, leaving a washing machine that won’t work. If your washing machine is worn enough, it may be better to use it as an option rather than spending money on repairs.
Disconnect the washing machine from the power supply before troubleshooting or repairing.

Irregular washing or placing the machine on uneven ground can cause the device to vibrate too much and move around the bathroom (researchers noted the behavior, walking). If the laundry is unevenly distributed in a washing machine, the drum spins unevenly and the whole machine can vibrate.
