Definition of Prepaid freight:

  1. Air or ocean freight charges that are paid at the port of origin or loading, and are billed to the importer in the exporters invoice. It is not refundable even if the shipment fails to arrive at its destination. Also called advance freight. See also cost and freight (C&F) and cost, insurance, freight (CIF).
