Presidential Executive Order 1006 is an executive order issued in 1977 by the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos that provides for the professionalization of teachers regulating practice in the Philippines and for other purposes. The objective of the decree is to compare the PD 1006 and RA 783 laws as well as professional training.
In PD 1006, the exam must be passed if a candidate has achieved an overall average of at least 70 percent in all subjects, with no marks below 50 percent in any subject. But in RA 7836 the number was not included in the law.
The definition of teacher applies to anyone who teaches full-time and part-time in elementary and secondary schools, including supervisors, school librarians, commercial or professional art teachers, and anyone else with supervisory and / or administrative functions in any field.
