Genie ACSCTG Type 1 Remote Programming Instructions.
- Look for the code learning button and the RED learning light on the garage door opener drive head.
- Briefly press the Learn Code button.
- Immediately press the button once on the type 1 ACSCTG remote control.
- Immediately press the button on the remote control again.
- Find the LEARN button on the door controller.
- Press the LEARN button twice. The LED flashes.
- Briefly press the button on the remote control with which you want to operate the garage door.
- The lights to open the garage door flash or two clicks are heard.
- Open the lid completely. The indicator light flashes once when it turns off.
- Awards 357.
- When you press the PROG indicator, it will blink once per second.
- Enter PIN 1 code (up to 8 digits)
- When the PROG indicator is pressed, it blinks twice per second.
- Close the lid. Now you can program the keypad for the garage door opener.
- Find the LEARN button on the garage door opener.
- Press and hold the LEARN button on the door control until the LED turns off (about 6 seconds).
- All previous codes have been removed.
Press and hold the two external buttons on the HomeLink® system until the LED starts flashing, then release the buttons. While the garage door opener LED is flashing, go back to the car and press the preprogrammed HomeLink® button 4 times. (Or until the garage door closes).
The leather button on the garage door opener is located above the antenna cable that hangs from the motor head, it can also be under a light cover. The leather button is green, red / orange, purple or yellow.
Old overhead door programming guide
- Find the square PROGRAM button on the garage door opener motor.
- Press and hold the PROGRAM button until both LEDs light blue.
- Release the PROGRAM button and the circular blue LED will remain on.
- Press the PROGRAM button briefly and the long LED starts flashing purple.
- Enter the keypad code.

Press the learning button on the remote control (e.g. garage door opener). Press and hold the HomeLink button again, the remote should work. Press and hold the programmed HomeLink button for 2 seconds for 30 seconds. Press and hold the programmed HomeLink button for about one second.
The most common reason a garage door remote control transmitter stops working is a dead battery. However, if ALL garage door openers stop working at the same time, it is very likely that the garage door opener is not properly secured or that the garage door opener needs to be reset on its own.
Intellicode wireless keypad reset
The garage door opener can use up to eight Security + remote controls and a Security + keyless entry system.
Unfortunately, with most remote controls, it is not possible to program a button to operate two doors at the same time. If you have two different garage door opener models in your home, make sure the remote is compatible with both. Universal remotes will work with most models, but standard remotes will not.
