Navy Working Uniform is a utility uniform with multiple pockets on the shirt and trousers. There are 3 versions of the uniform, each with a multi-color digital camouflage print pattern similar to those introduced by other services.
1st type is blue which is dominant with some gray for the majority of sailors, originally developed for shipboard use, but proved unsuitable for shipboard environments and was discontinued in 2019.
Second one is a desert digital pattern currently restricted to SEALs and other sailors such as Seabees assigned to Naval Special Warfare Units when in desert environments.
3rd type is a woodland digital pattern for sailors in shore commands and riverine units.
Patterns of camouflage are similar to the MARPAT worn on the Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform by U.S. Marines.
