Comforting prayers
Father in Heaven, I’m lonely and battered, tears well up in my eyes, and I toss and turn at night.
The pain in my heart is indescribable. Every day, I am in pain.
I pray to you because I am in severe need of assistance.
Prayers for Serenity, Peace, and Strength
You, tender and compassionate God, are our constant companion in our happy times. When we are happy, you rejoice with us; when we are worried and fearful, you provide us with a relationship in which we may find confidence to confront the unknown; and when we are sad, you are our comforter. Help us to believe, O God, that you accept us just as we are, and that we can entrust ourselves to your faithful and abiding care, with all our varied problems and dreams.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can’t change, the bravery to change the things I can, and the wisdom to distinguish between the two, living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time, and taking this world as it comes.
Prayers of Augustine
We don’t need to pray for what we need, according to St. Augustine, because God already knows what we need before we even ask. Instead, he recommends that we should pray to deepen our desire for God and to be able to receive what He is about to give us.
“The more our capacity to receive the gift, which is enormous, the deeper our faith, the stronger our hope, and the greater our yearning. The more passionate the desire, the more deserving its fruits will be. When the Apostle says, “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thes5:16), he means, “Desire unceasingly that life of bliss that is nothing if not eternal, and ask it of the only one who is capable of giving it.””

“How can I know God is listening to my prayers?”
Prayer is a wonderful gift, and we are assured that Heavenly Father is always listening, but it takes practice to identify His responses.
Consider this: either God listens to you or He doesn’t. If He doesn’t, there’s no purpose in praying at all. However, if He does (and He does! ), we must learn how to truly commune with Him in prayer, discern answers, and faithfully move forward.
When we feel as if He isn’t listening to us, we may need to go through some personal growth. You might want to ask yourself the following questions: Is it true that I’m spotless? Are my motivations valid? Is it true that I am willing to do what He asks? If you answered yes to each of these questions, you can rest assured that "the Lord thy God shall.
Does God answer all of our prayers?
“Won’t God ever answer my prayers?” the woman in my office shouted out in despair.
“Yes, God hears and answers every single one of your prayers!” I exclaimed. It’s only that He just has three options: yes, no, or wait.
God answers our prayers when the answer is “yes,” and His response is exactly what we asked for. This is a fantastic reaction. When we receive a “no,” we are disappointed because it is not what we had hoped for, and we frequently perceive the “no” as God refusing to answer our requests.
God’s answer is “no” for various reasons revealed in the Bible.
When we continue to live a life of sin. “Listen!” says Isaiah 59:1-2. The LORD’s arm, like mine, is not too weak to save you.
Conclusion
Despite the fact that prayer is extremely vital, many Muslims do not pray or do not follow the prayer’s criteria. Its goal is to reconnect with God, improve our relationship with Him, be grateful for all of God’s blessings, and remind ourselves of His greatness.
