McMaster can be seen in almost every Earps movie. He was best played by actor Michael Rooker in the 1993 film Tombstone, where his name is McMasters. In this film, he is portrayed as being killed by cowboys during the Vendetta, albeit historically incorrect.
On the night of December 28, 1881, City Marshal Virgil Earp was ambushed and shot while crossing the intersection of Fifth and Allen Street in Tombstone. His left arm was broken and the doctors had to saw off the elbow and lift the free arm off the elbow so that his arm was limp with no bone connection.
The tombstone is practically historical. In fact, some of the more incredible scenes have been documented (like Bill Brosius missing Wyatt three times from the Void Area before Earp cuts him in half with a shotgun).
According to a letter from Will McLaury, brother of the two cowboys killed in Gunfight, Sherman McMasters was murdered by a group of cowboys after joining the Earp group.
Doc Holliday (Val Kilmer) kills Johnny Ringo. Before his death, Doc Wyatt says there is no normal life and that he should contact the actor. Sometime later, Mattie (his wife, Wyatts) dies of an overdose. Virgil and his wife move to California where he becomes sheriff.
Wyatt Earp dies in Los Angeles. Almost 50 years after the famous O.K. Corral, Wyatt Earp dies quietly in Los Angeles at the age of 80.

Blaylock reportedly suffered from headaches and in Tombstone, Arizona, became addicted to laudanum, an opioid and pain reliever commonly used at the time. It is unclear when Earp and Blaylock ended their relationship.
Virgil Earp ordered the cowboys to hand over the guns, but shots were fired instead, although it is unclear who pulled the trigger first.
