Our member trees are annual seedlings and are approximately 6-12 inches tall.
It’s best to start with a tree that is 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter if you want it to grow right away. Trees with a diameter of 2.5 inches can hold up well as long as the sod is large enough.
According to the Arbor Day Foundation, medium-sized trees grow in a height range of 30 to 70 feet. Morton Arboretum, on the other hand, classified intermediate trees as trees between 25 and 40 feet in height. For the Sacramento Tree Foundation, a medium-sized tree is 25 to 46 feet tall.
