The ingredients of makabayan are as follows:

- A valuable training.
It should be a laboratory for life or a practice setting.
This is the learning area that gives the Filipino teacher time to demonstrate practical knowledge and skills with empathy, professional effectiveness and problem solving in everyday life.
Its interdisciplinary character is Makabayan for students, as the topics mentioned include both social life and student learning during a learning process. It is the integration of experience and knowledge from learning.
The primary school plan in the Philippines includes multilingual education in the mother tongue, a universal kindergarten, preparatory and follow-up university training, and specialized upper secondary education.
A good teacher is someone who can learn from his students, who can learn with and for them. He should also be honest with students and be proud enough of his own worth to work from there to help his students develop their self-esteem.
