I Call Myself In Spanish
I'm Mexican, but can I call myself Spanish? ۔
I don't know how to ask this question, but I am saying that Mexico is called Mexican even though they were not born in Mexico. I am 90% Hispanic. My father's parents were born and raised in Spain, and they moved here and raised my father, and my mother was born in Mexico, but she is Mexican. I like to be Mexican, but I'm not. People call me Mexican, but I think I'm Spanish. It's just that someone said I can't call myself Spanish if I'm not Spanish or if I have Spanish nationality. I mean, Mexicans call themselves Mexicans, even though they don't call themselves Mexicans and many other groups like the Italians. Mexican because it's easy to explain, but since my mom and I are more Hispanic, I'm basically Hispanic, right? I like being Mexican as much as I like being Spanish, good luck. I'm desperate.
updates and is.
You don't have to read the question, she is my mother and she is not indigenous.
in regards to. What we need is more people than non-Hispanic Indians who call themselves Spanish.
You are Spanish Mexican. Your grandparents are from Spain and you speak Spanish. Make sure people know you mean Spain because unfortunately in the US people are punished for saying you are Spanish.
Do you speak Spanish with a Spanish accent? Otherwise you will smile!
Spanish is a language and Spanish is technically Spanish / Spanish. You are Mexican, so you are Latin, and Mexican has Spanish and Indian blood, so you can call yourself Latin.
