| Machine Wash Place the VeraBradley bags in the washing machine on a gentle cycle with cold water. We recommend a detergent for cotton, not for delicate fabrics. Shape the bag and hang it on a hook so it can air dry properly.
- Use a sponge and antibacterial soap to clean nylon ballistic bags.
- First clean the duffel bags with the canvas and wash the whole bag first.
- Remove all wet hardware immediately to avoid rust stains.
- Spray the inside of the bag with Oust, Febreze or an air freshener.
Put the Vera Bradley backpack in the washing machine with the pockets open. Fill the machine with cold water and a cup of mild detergent. Remove the bag when the cycle is complete. Place the bag on a clothesline or hang it on a clothesline while it dries.
Wash your Vera Bradley in the washing machine
- Turn the bag over and remove any small pieces that may accumulate on the bottom.
- Use a stain remover for any visible stains on the bag without saturating the area.
- Put the bag in the washing machine on a gentle cycle in cold water.
Pour about 1/4 cup of castile soap into the washing machine, put it in the bag, set the washing machine to LOW CYCLE (or hand wash … something like that) and turn the button. When the bag is completely dry, protect it with a leather conditioner.
Wash the canvas bag
There are several things that can safely deodorize the canvas.
There is good news and bad news about these exchanges. Regular washing is also very easy if you can wash your clothes, you can wash a bag as they can almost always be machine washed. However, there are a few things to keep in mind: Machine wash in cold water.
Most of the time the answer is yes. It depends on the material, but most backpacks are made of nylon or canvas and are safe to use in the washing machine. (If the bag has a leather lining, do not wash it.)
Clean your purse if necessary
Dry the bag with your hand if the machine can damage it. Use a soft mop or an old terry towel. Dip the brush or cloth in a mild detergent for a gentle wash mixed with warm water. Shake or wring out excess water and wash the stained areas in the bag in circular motions.
Wash the bags individually in cold water on the gentle cycle and allow them to air dry. There is a good chance that the bag still retains some odor after washing, so don’t worry, wash it again.
Vera Bradley may be cheap for a luxury brand, but by many reasonable standards it is still expensive. VeraBradley may be cheap for a luxury brand, but it’s expensive by many affordable standards. The sisters in the sisterhood had matching bags from Vera Bradley.
Scotchgard can be used on most fabrics such as cotton, wool, nylon, polyester and silk. It is not recommended to use on plastic, vinyl or suede.
Name tag tapes can be washed and dried by hand. All you have to do is add some dish soap to the water in the sink and put the string in it. You can twist, rub or rub lightly when it’s dirty. After washing, rinse with water and hang to dry.
