- Combine gas and oil in a small gas cylinder. Gently shake the can to incorporate the oil into the gas.
- Slide the primer plunger and slowly release it six times. Close the starter (turn on the starter).
- Pull the starter rope one to four times. Let the engine run for at least 10 seconds.
STIHL currently recommends storing or using fuel for no longer than 60 days, preferably no longer than 30 days, even with a stabilizer. Learn more about fuel issues. Learn more about storing electrical equipment outdoors.

A leaf blower that doesn’t start at all can consume fuel. If the problem isn’t fuel, the fan spark plugs may be dirty or damaged. Remove the spark plug and wipe it with a clean cloth. If the problem was with the spark plug, the fan should start properly.

So here’s my list of the 10 best leaf blowers.
A gasoline blower will not start if there is no more fuel. Then check the fuel tank to make sure it is full. If the tank is full and there is a strong smell of gas, the engine can fill up. Place the choke lever in the run position and turn the throttle lever to the fast position.
Push the choke lever with your thumb up to the choke notch, for example to / for hot start, or push the choke lever up to the choke notch, like a horizontal line for starting cold.
When a leaf blower turns on the fans, the blades spin quickly to create centrifugal force. This force acts on the air around the device. When air is subjected to centrifugal force, it is drawn into the fan. Then the force acts to push the air out of the fan.
Use only unleaded petrol in Stihl fans. Additives can damage your engine over time, which is why Stihl recommends using only gasoline with an octane rating of 89 or higher. If the double declutch near you has an octane rating below 89, use premium gasoline.
How to fix a leaf blower that won’t start
Gasoline-powered leaf blowers typically use a 40: 1 gasoline / oil blend. So this equates to about 3.2 grams of 2 motorcycle oil per 1 gallon of gasoline. Most gasoline fans have a two-engine motorcycle that requires a gasoline / oil mixture to keep the engine lubricated.
Fortunately, this is a trick that often works. All gasoline hand tools have a choke that allows you to adjust the abundance or poverty of the gasoline-air mixture to suit the engine, and it should be in the closed position for a cold start.
Speaking of power, the STIHL is a slightly more powerful unit. It has a 64.8cc engine in contrast to the 63.3cc engine of the ECHO PB770T. However, if I say stronger it means better. So in dry conditions it’s a real fan for us, it would be ECHO.
Oils and lubricants
Time is perhaps the best cure for a flooded engine. Just open the hood of the car and let the excess fuel evaporate for as long as possible. After about 20 minutes, try to restart the vehicle without pressing the accelerator pedal. If it still doesn’t work, you may need to check the spark plugs.
