Unplug the refrigerator from the power supply for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. Within 15 seconds after the power is restored, press the sensor arm three times in a row. This should force the ice maker to pour water into the container and start the ice making cycle.
To make sure the swing arm is the problem, do a full reset on the Frigidaire ice maker. Depending on the model, the ice maker can be reset using the control panel. Press and hold the power button until the LED turns red. Wait a few minutes, then press and hold the same button until it turns green.
If the ice cube maker does not appear to be making ice cubes or is not making enough ice cubes, this could be due to low water pressure or a faulty water filter. However, the problem may be related. On some refrigerator models, the water pipes that feed the ice maker and the water dispenser are connected via the same water filter. If the filter is clogged, the water cannot pass to make ice.
Samsung currently has no recall of its refrigerator models related to the ice maker issue. However, there is a Facebook group with over 6,400 members looking for it.

After the refrigerator is set up, it takes 6 to 12 hours for the ice maker to be placed next to the refrigerator to make ice cubes. You should throw the first three rounds of ice cubes from the ice cube maker (about 30 ice cubes) to make sure all the ice cubes you use are made of clean water.
A great refrigerator ice maker makes 8-10 ice cubes every 90 minutes. In this case, your ice maker should turn around 16 times a day and deliver around 130 cubes in a 24 hour period. This estimate will depend on the size of the ice bucket and the actual cycle time of your particular machine.
Most inexpensive fridges have a cable running through the bucket and the ice that builds up pushes it, activating a switch that interrupts the ice maker’s cycle. This is a phenomenon called accretion, in which moisture from the air flowing over the ice cubes hits the ice and combines with the ice.
A frozen ice maker in a freezer can be due to a frozen ice maker fill line, a faulty water inlet valve, a freezing temperature setting that is too low, or a frozen water filter. First find the water supply to your ice maker and shut off the water supply via the shut-off valve.
If the water inlet valve is defective or has insufficient pressure, the water cannot drain. This will prevent the ice maker from making ice. If the water inlet valve has sufficient pressure and power, but the ice maker does not fill with water to make ice, replace the water inlet valve.
