| How to define the opening hours:
- Log into your Square dashboard online.
- Click on Accounts and Settings (do not go to the Appointments section)
- Click on Places> click on the specific place where you work.
- Scroll down and update opening hours if needed. Then click Save (top right) to save the changes.
If you are the only employee, you will see Change availability next to the Make an appointment button on the Calendar tab. Your new availability will be shown in both your browser and iOS calendars and your updated availability will be shown on the online booking page for the selected week.
Define the cancellation policy
- Go to the Settings tab in the appointment overview> click Calendar and sort.
- Scroll down to Expiration to allow customers to cancel or move> Open an expiration window.
- Click “Save”.
You can activate the online order page to support ordering more services from the dashboard by going to Settings> Schedule & Orders> and switching between Ordering more services online. After activation, customers can select more than one service in the order position.
Square Appointments Employee Updates Personalized color and calendar synchronization
- Access the square appointments dashboard.
- Select the Employees tab> Employee Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom of the profile and select a color to view the appointments.
It is currently not possible to blacklist an order or block a specific customer. You can try using the NoShow security feature and request a card in the command file.

Synchronize your appointment calendar with Google Calendar. On the Square Appointments dashboard, go to Settings and select Calendar & Booking. You must be signed in to Appointment on your computer as calendar synchronization cannot be performed from a mobile device. Under Manage calendar synchronization, click Connect Google Calendar.

While you can order overlapping appointments for your clients from your Square appointment calendar, this option does not currently apply to the booking tool.
Although not all Noshows can be eliminated, in practice there are effective ways to reduce the number of Noshows.
The decision to charge a cancellation fee is ultimately yours. If you choose to charge customers who don’t show up or cancel within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a penalty. Of course, you can charge a cancellation fee, but don’t overdo it.
