About Meter
Name Meter

Unit system SI base unit
Unit of Length
Symbol m
According to the International System of Units, the fundamental unit of length is the meter (SI). The symbol for the SI unit is m. The etymological roots of meter can be traced back to the Greek verb (metreo) and noun (metron) (a measure), which were used for physical measurement, poetic meter, and by extension, for moderation or avoiding extremism.
In 1960, the meter was rethought regarding a certain number of wavelengths of a particular krypton86 emission line. It wasn’t until 1983 that the current definition was settled, and it wasn’t until 2002 that it was altered somewhat to make it clear that the meter is a measure of the correct length.
Summary
Metre was used for physical, poetic, and physical measurements (as in “be measured in your response”). At the very least, the word “meter” to refer to the French unit “mètre” first appeared in English in 1797.
How to Convert Meters into Inches and Feet?
One meter, a unit of length measurement, is equivalent to around 3.28 ft. To the exact inch, one foot is equal to 12 inches. One meter equals 3.2808398950131 feet, so if you need to be accurate, use that conversion since it will make the arithmetic easier to work with.
Step 1: Convert from meters to feet.

1 metre Equals 3.28 x ft, hence,

1.6 × 1 metre = 1.6 x 3.28 ft, or

1.6 meters Equals 5.25 feet.
Step 2: Convert the feet to inches using the decimal system.
You may prefer to express the decimal element in feet in inches once it is a lower number. Thus an answer such as “5.25 feet” may not mean much to you since you may want to express it in inches.
Therefore, everything that comes after the decimal point (0.25) must be multiplied by 12 before it can be converted to inches. This works out correctly, given that one foot equals 12 inches. Then,
5.25 feet = 5 feet + 0.25 foot. When converted to inches, 0.25 feet times 12 equals 3 inches, or 5.25 feet equals 5 feet and 3 inches.
Step 3: Convert decimal inches to fractions
The answer is three decimal inches, which you were given in the previous stage, but how do you measure it using a ruler or tape measure? To convert decimal inches to the nearest fraction that may be used, please see the following process, which can also be performed with a calculator:

a) Take away 3 from 3, which is the total number of full inches: 3 3 = 0. This is the fractional component of the amount expressed in inches.

b) To determine the number of 16th inches, multiply 0 by 16 (the answer might be 8, 16, 32, or so on, depending on the level of precision you desire): 0 x 16 Equals 0.

c) Adjust the value, so it is as close as possible to an integer: round(0) = 0 To sum everything up, 1.6 meters equals 5 feet and 0/16 of an inch.
To obtain a fraction that is easier to understand, the fraction 0/16 ought to be simplified by reducing it to the form 0/1.
