## How Much Is 8 Oz Of Water

Tall 8 oz water weight? ۔

Good question. Here is a way to calculate it.

One gallon of water weighs 8.34 pounds.

One gallon contains 128 ounces of liquid, so 8 ounces is 1/16 (0.0625) of a gallon.

Convert 8.34 pounds per ounce (weight) to 133.44 ounces (weight) per gallon.

Multiply the number of ounces (133.44) in a gallon by the number in the sample (0.0625) and you have 8 liquid ounces of water which weighs 8.34 ounces (by weight).

Edit to add: just wanted to confirm and I have a cane dial scale. So I put a measuring cup, put blue on the scale and added a glass of water, it turned out to be 8/6 ounces, 8,625 ounces. So since I didn't need it when I put the cup and it wasn't plain water (hard water is heavy), I'm pretty sure the spherical shape is right, 8 oz weighs 8.34 oz.

Look good

In the UK, a liter of water weighs half a kilo (I think I remember hearing that in 1957, when we read a readable book).

I also think I remember that a liter contains 20 ounces of fluid (or used to be), so 8 ounces of water is equal to 8/20 liters (or 0.4 liters in the new decimal place). Now one pound is equal to 16 ounces, so one pound and a quarter should be a quarter of 16 plus 16 ounces, which is 16 plus 4 or 20 ounces.

So 8 ounces of water should weigh 0.4 times 20 ounces which I weigh 8 ounces.

Of course, this cannot happen across the pool, as I think the colonists mistakenly thought that an ounce of fluid is a liter. Maybe someone wants to tell us that 8 ounces doesn't weigh 8 ounces.
