# ‘How much does Cash App cost you?’: Many Cash App transactions are free - here’s how to figure out which ones will charge you.

**1. Although many transactions on the Cash app are free, there are a few that require a little fee.**  
**2. Many Cash App transactions between users are free, however, you may be charged a small fee for a transaction in other cases.**  
**3. Square charges a 3 percent fee when you pay with a credit card via Cash App.**  
**4. Standard app-to-bank account transfers take two to three days and are free, whereas instant transactions have a 1.5 percent cost.**

You could never have to pay a cent for your transactions if you utilize a personal Cash App account linked to your bank account or debit card and aren’t in a hurry to make payments. Cash App, on the other hand, charges minimal fees if you send money using a credit card or need an immediate transfer.

There are a few instances where you may be charged by Cash App, but the simplicity of sending, receiving, and moving money is likely to outweigh the cost.

## When is your Cash App going to charge you a fee?

A 3% fee will be added to the amount if you send money using a credit card linked to your Cash App. As a result, sending someone $100 will cost you $103. This is a normal price with other payment programs, such as PayPal, and is around the same rate that businesses pay for credit card transactions.
