How Many Ounces in a Quarter Cup?

Not that many countries in the world use ounces to measure. Most use the metric system, which is far easier to use. Just add a 0 (zero) to a number, or 3 zero’s to make it 1000 times more. (gram—-kilogram, meter—-kilometer). It makes no sense a yard is 3 feet, and a foot is 12 inches. Not to mention the confusing miles, gallons, stone, etcetera. Your question makes no sense either, a 1/4 cup of water, concrete or iron? You cannot compare the weight to volume.

You need to know the conversion relationship; how many ounces = 1 cup?

That relationship is 8 ounces = 1 cup.

Then use the fraction of 1 cup to multiply times the number of ounces that equals 1 cup.

1/4 cup = .25 cup

.25 cup x 8 ounces / 1 cup = 2 ounces

For a visual reference of this, be sure to have a measuring cup with ounces indicated on the side of the cup.
