How Many Acres In A Section
How many acres of irrigated land is the corner of a quarter? 3
I have to admit that irrigation is done on a rotating basis from the center of the neighborhood, otherwise I don't know what counts.
What you have is a circle square and you want to find the area of the square that is not in that circle.
A quarter is 160 acres, or half a square mile. It gives a radius of 1320 feet. The area of this circle is pi * radius square, or 5,473,924 square feet. The square footage is 6,969,600 feet. Square without circle is 1,495,676 feet, or more than 34 acres.
Assumes a single circular irrigation system for 160 hectares. The answer may be different if you have four irrigation systems for each of the 40 hectares, but the calculation method will be the same, only the scale is different.
