How Fashion can change your life
To understand fashion one needs to know what exactly the term " Fashion" means. Usually, people confuse it with “Trends”. Fashion generically means " a particular manner or form a certain thing is done". Whereas, “Trends” on the other hand are short-termed and disappear with time. On the contrary, trends that stay for a longer time period becomes fashion. So, it turns out, a certain way of dressing, style of accessories, hair-dos, and looks when introduced usually by public figures, public influencers, or important figures and are followed or copied by their followers becomes fashion eventually. Princess Diana, for instance, had her specific hair cut which not only liked by Europeans but loved and followed by the eastern world as well eventually became a fashion and the haircut is still known by the name " Diana cut".
Michael Jackson is one such example of his famous break-dance moves, his sleek shoes, and of course the way he kept hat during his performances. As far as the examples in the recent world are concerned, Beyonce, Adele, Lady GAGA and the list goes on.
However, these examples are of today’s world when people have access to the other side of the globe. If we open the history of fashion back in the 1800s or even earlier, we would notice that people in a certain area or locality were much connected than today, plus cultures were important to people that’s how they were affixed to their norms and so they used to dress up accordingly. Their cultures, strategic locations, weather, economy, statuses, and the type of works they were associated with had influenced their clothing and accessories. Because the previous societies were so bound and conservative, they had no other option than to follow what’s available to them. The fashion of today’s world is purely extracted from the historic silhouettes and everything new today has been done ages ago. Cultures and traditions they were bound to follow once have become fashion statements of the later world.
Having said that, fashion is still the talk of the town and it always will be!
Times are changing speedily so does fashion. Fashion cycles are again a vast topic to discuss but in a brief, the way previous people used to dress remained there for ages but now fashion changes rapidly and each fashion lasts for only 3 months. There was a time when people actually could follow the fashioned attires for a two year but now it has reduced to a time when people find it difficult to keep track of what’s In and what’s Out.
Coming to the article, I have a few disagreements that I would like to highlight:
- No. 1
As it says Fashion is something that enhances the beauty of the person and glorifies the personality of an individual have me to oppose it since the personality is not defined by the clothes you wear of the trends you follow, rather it is a combination of so many other characteristics that a person possess. Besides, one requires right style and right amount of fashion to follow,
> not everything that’s in suits everyone
And the rest of the lines follows the same reply.

" Fashion can change life, thinking…"
If there is such a thing that exist on planet then anyone who follows fashion has a good life and positive thinking or any one who is depressed and stressed out can follow fashion to be a “Happy Potatoe” . But, unfortunately it does not help in changing thinking or life! -

“Fashion represents culture”
If ever fashion could represent culture, our young generations would know our heritage better! Fashion simply is a collection or combination of silhouettes or cuts to form one attire which is usually taken from the history and cultures throughout the world. It does not represent the true colours of ones culture at all.
For Instance, Jeans was once considered a shame for a woman to wear in Europe, but during the World War II it became difficult for women to carry their gowns as they were lending help to the soldiers by taking food and other utilities to the borders so they ended up on wearing pants like men to ease their day to day operations.
Miss Elizabeth Smith Miller is known to be the first woman to wear jeans who later on faced reluctance by her society until finally a law passed when women could wear jeans.
But if you see, today it is so common that it has become the part of their culture rather their fashion could be influenced by the culture, it changed the culture. -
No 4. Lastly,
“Fashion reflects behaviour”
It is rather set of tantrums and moods that causes the behaviour and fashion can not explains ones behaviour.
