How do you write 0.2 as a percentage?

Since a percentage is the same as a hundredth and 100% is the same as one:0.2xx(100%)/1=(0.2xx100%)/1=20%

There are different ways but easy way is to always change decimal into fraction & then multiply fraction with100.

And the easiest way is to multiply decimal directly with hundred.

As per rule when decimal number is multiplied with 10,100, 1000,…,

* the decimal point moves towards RIGHT SIDE

* & the new position towards right will depend upon the number of ZEROS

For Example: 2.567 X 10 = 25.67 ( as 10 has ONE zero, so decimal will move one point towards right)

2.567 X 100 = 256.7

NOW coming back to the main question once we multiply 0.2 with 100 ;

0.2 X 100 = 20, so 20 % is the answer.

We know that 1%=1÷100

Also we know that decimal and fractions are interchangeable .

Now we write 0.2 in percentage. So

0.2 ×(100÷100)=(2÷10)100(1÷100)

=2×10×1%

=20%
