 Where do I get the number 120 on 4 squares? ۔

You have to get 120 for 4 squares and use all 4 to get the answer, you can use addition, minus, division and time, but you don't have to use them all. My teacher said it is possible !!

update

Well, you should get all the numbers between 1 and 20 and you should use one of the 4 squares and four signs plus, minus, divide and multiply.

1 = 44/44.

2 = 4 * 4 / (4 + 4)

3 = (4 + 4 + 4) / 4.

4 = 4 + (4 * (4 4))

5 = (4 + (4 * 4)) / 4.

6 = 4 + ((4 + 4) / 4)

7 = (44/4) 4.

8 = 4 + 4 + 4 4.

9 = 4 + 4 + (4/4)

10 = (44 4) / 4.

11 = (4/4) + (4 / 0.4)

12 = (4 + 44) / 4.

13 = 4 + ((4.4) / 0.4)

14 = (4 * (4.4)) 0.4.

15 = 4 + (44/4)

16 = (44 4) * 0.4.

17 = (4 * 4) + (4/4)

18 = (44 * 0.4) + 0.4.

19 = (4 + 4.4) / 0.4.

20 = 4 * (4 + (4/4))

1 = (4/4) * (4/4)

2 = (4/4) + (4/4)

3 = (4 + 4 + 4) / 4.

4 =

5 =

6 =

7 = (4 + 4) (4/4)

8 = (4 + 4) * (4/4)

9 = (4 + 4) + (4/4)

10 =

11 =

12 =

13 =

14 =

15 = (4 * 4) (4/4)

16 = (4 * 4) * (4/4)

17 = (4 * 4) + (4/4)

18 =

19 =

20 = 4 + (4/4) * 4.

As I see it (I only have to use with 4, 4, /) this is just what I saw after spending a few minutes on it.

This is because you can get 0, 1, 8 or 16 with just two numbers, so you can only add, subtract, multiply or divide by 0, 1, 8 or 16. There are only 3 and 20 things where you can do different things. There you only meet in tse 8, 16, 1, then 1, 2, 3 and 20 different ways.

Can you explain that? I mean, are you trying to get all the numbers out of 120 using the four math operations at number 4?

It means.

(4 + 44) / 4 = 1.

((4 * 4) / 4) / 4 = 2.

(4 + 4 + 4) / 4 = 3.

((44) / 4) + 4 = 4.

(4 * 4 + 4) / 4 = 5.

((4 + 4) / 4) +4 = 6.

(4 + 4) (4/4) = 7.

(44) + (4 + 4) = 8.

(4 + 4) + (4/4) = 9.

x = 10.

x = 11.

(4 (4/4)) * 4 = 12.

x = 13.

x = 14.

(4 * 4) (4/4) = 15.

(4 * 4) * (4/4) = 16.

(4 * 4) + (4/4) = 17.

x = 18.

x = 19.

4+ (4/4) * 4 = 20.

We are far away
