| A two-element water heater uses two heating elements controlled by two separate thermostats. When it reaches a certain temperature, it switches off and the lower heating element takes over and heats the rest of the water. This is an efficient and economical function as the water heats up evenly.
Most electric water heaters have two thermostats - an upper and a lower one, which are located under two control panels. To make sure the electric water heater works as efficiently as possible, set both thermostats to the same temperature.
Depending on the capacity in liters of the tank, an electric water heater consists of one or two thermostats that regulate the water temperature. Thermostats work by turning on the heating elements when the water cools below a certain temperature.
If your water heater has two thermostats, set them both to be the same. The upper thermostat should be a few degrees higher than the lower one.
120 degrees Fahrenheit
The upper thermostat takes precedence by heating the water to a preset temperature before the lower thermostat activates to heat the water to the final temperature. Only one heating element is active at a time.
Although most water heater thermostats can be set to 150 degrees or more, manufacturers warn that settings above 125 degrees can burn your skin. The risk of skin burns increases with young children in the home, as their skin is significantly more sensitive to heat than adult skin.

The top one heats the water at the top of the water tank first. When it reaches the set temperature, it turns off and sends electricity to the lower element. So let the upper one warm up before checking the lower one.
To set the valve’s mixed flow temperature, remove the cover to access the control rod. Turn the spindle clockwise to decrease the temperature and anticlockwise to increase the temperature until the desired set point is reached.
The upper and lower elements are controlled by separate thermostats. When the water in the upper part of the tank is hot, the upper element turns off and the lower element heats up. The upper and lower heating elements never turn on at the same time.
The room thermostat should be set to the lowest and most comfortable temperature, usually between 18 and 21 degrees. When it’s colder outside, you don’t need to turn up the thermostat and it will still heat up to the set temperature.
At the roundabout, yes. By increasing the heating power of the boiler, warmer water is supplied to the hot water tap. If you want the same temperature, you can use more cold tap water. So use a smaller percentage of hot water for the same total shower flow.
Place the spanner on the spanner on the upper nut of the adjusting screw. Turn the screw clockwise to increase the water pressure and counterclockwise to decrease the water pressure. Make the adjustment one or two turns at a time. Open a tap to test the pressure.
Method 2 Installing an Electric Water Heater
You might be surprised to find that the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) recommends setting the water heater to 120 degrees. The Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) recommends setting the water heater thermostat to 140 degrees under certain circumstances.

An electric water heater works in much the same way as a gas water heater. It conveys the cold water through the immersion tube (1) and heats it through the electric resistances (2) in the tank. The hot water rises into the accumulator and is passed through the housing via the heat sink tube (3).
