Born Edward Albert Heimberger on April 22, 1906 in Rock Island, IL, he died on May 26, 2005 of pneumonia in Pacific Palisades, California. Actor. Eddie Albert is best known for his role as a legal farmer on Green Acres, one of the hottest television sites of the 1960s.
He was a war hero. Joining the circus was only the first phase of Albert’s service to his country. In 1943 Albert had joined the Coast Guard and was active in the service. His most notable contribution came in November 1943. He served as a pilot for landing craft used by the Coast Guard during the Tarawa invasion.
It turns out that Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor, who played Oliver Wendell Douglas and Lisa Douglas, were actually very close friends (but platonic), which is why they made such a beautiful couple. Douglas chemistry at Green Acres Farm apparently showed in many scenes that they would accidentally touch each other. What Happened to Eddie Albert Jr. Due to his work, Escondido Canyon was renamed Edward Albert Escondido Trail and Waterfalls in honor of him. Young Albert was diagnosed with lung cancer in early 2005. He died on 22 September 2006 at the age of 55 and survived his father for only 16 months.
As far as we know, Albert’s non-acting work ended this adventure, although we almost expected to know that Albert was the real keystone of James Bond, ended the Cold War and invented the wafer of silicon. With his government job behind him, Eddie was finally free to act full time.

Eve starred with Eddie Albert in the 1965 CBS comedy 71 Green Acres and portrayed lost city girl Lisa Douglas. Zsa Zsa Gabor’s haughty splendor has been sparse at times: in 1989 she was convicted of beating up a Beverly Hills police officer and sentenced to 72 hours in prison and community service.
