Definition of Constructive dismissal:

  1. Situation where an employer creates such working conditions (or so changes the terms of employment) that the affected employee has little or no choice but to resign. In such cases, the employee retains the right to seek legal compensation as having been dismissed unfairly. Also called constructive discharge. See also unfair dismissal.

  2. The changing of an employees job or working conditions with the aim of forcing their resignation.
