Rinse thoroughly to remove detergent residue and allow to air dry. To machine wash the removable pillowcases, turn down the water temperature, use a normal amount of laundry detergent and add 1 cup of bleach to each batch and finally air dry.
If your outdoor pillows are small, the only thing you can do is machine wash them with bleach to make sure the mold is removed. However, if your outdoor cushions are large enough, you should clean them with your hands.
To clean these removable parts, you can wash them by hand or throw them in the washing machine. To wash your hands, soak the fabric in a solution of 1/4 cup of mild soap per liter of warm water. Sunbrella can also be washed in cold water with a mild detergent. Always allow Sunbrella to air dry.
How to get rid of it:
- Make a solution with a cup of bleach, ¼ cup of mild soap and a quart of water.
- Spray it on the affected area.
- Clean it with a very soft sponge, towel or brush.
- Leave on for up to 15 minutes.

Cover the pillows with clear plastic to keep them completely dry. If the pillows are wrapped in a thick, clear plastic bag, you can leave them or purchase protective plastic bags. However, you may not find this aesthetically pleasing solution.
