Best time to post on TikTok

Like all social media platforms, TikTok has a global user base. For example, 1 in 7 people in Thailand have downloaded the app. There are over 20 million users in India while China reaches a whopping 150 million and over 14 million in the US.

Why are these numbers important?

When you have a global audience, it automatically affects how much content you produce. It also affects when you should post content. Time zones automatically determine that much of your content is displayed during the busiest hours within a specific region.

How do you use this information to determine the best time to post on TikTok?

First, determine where your trailers are. TikTok now offers the option to convert your normal user account into a Pro account. Pro accounts have a number of new features, one of which includes analysis.

Analytics shows how many followers you have, how different the genders are and what top territories your followers come from. If you haven’t switched to a Pro account yet, do the following:

Open the app and visit your profile. Next, access your privacy and settings area by tapping the three dots in the top right corner of your mobile phone screen. Then go to Switch to Pro Account.

Follow the steps (this may include checking your cell phone number if you haven’t already). Once your account has been switched to a Pro account, you will be able to access your analytics.

In the “Accounts” section, tap “Analytics” while you are still in your privacy and settings area. Tap the Followers tab for details about your target audience.

When is your audience awake?

You figured out where your audience is. Now is the time to find out when you are awake.

This part may seem a little trickier, but understanding time zones is really a simple thing. For example, if you are in Thailand and have tons of followers in India and Thailand, all you need to consider is a time difference of about an hour and 30 minutes. With such a small time difference, your booking schedule won’t be disrupted.

On the other hand, if you have a large audience in North America and the UK, it will be different. You plan and plan content with a time difference of about eight hours.

Unfortunately, TikTok doesn’t have any scheduling functions. Also, there are no social media management apps (yet) that you can link your TikTok account to in order to post or schedule content.

The solution?

You need to create a content schedule to cover the biggest areas your fans are from.

It can’t be pretty. It’s also difficult to maintain if you have an audience in countries with large time differences, but it seems like the only way (for now) to cover posting content for your audience.
