A company whose head is located in a tax deductible or non-taxable country (i.e. a tax haven) used to protect income and tax deduction in the taxpayer's home country. Base companies perform some activities on behalf of companies affiliated in high-tax countries (such as administrative services) or are used to distribute certain revenues such as profits, interest, royalties and commissions.
