Definition of Appellate court:

  1. Higher court which hears the appeals against the lower courts judgments. Appellate courts usually have a bench comprising of two or more judges, and their decisions set precedents which are collectively called judge made law or case law.

  1. If you are charged with a crime but are innocent your last hope is the APPELLATE COURT and you must hope they dont convict.
