DreamWorks Water Park is an inner water demesne within the American Dream shopping and entertainment complex, at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, United States. The demesne opened on October 1, 2020. The water demesne includes 1 water slides and 15 lodestones, and covers8.5 acres. The American Dream shopping boardwalk was first proposed as Meadowlands Mills in 1994. The boardwalk, latterly renamed Meadowlands Xanadu, was nearly complete in 2009 when construction stopped due to a lack of backing. In 2011, the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority homogenized an agreement with Triple Five Group, which assumed power of the boardwalk and renamed it"American Dream". The revised boardwalk plans included an recreation demesne and a waterpark.DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg blazoned in July 2012 that some of the recreation lodestones would be themed upon DreamWorksproductions.In September 2016, Triple Five blazoned that the inner recreation demesne space would be enthralled by Nickelodeon Universe, and that DreamWorks Animation would work in cooperation to develop the water demesne Triple Five stated in June 2018 that the water demesne would open in the end of 2019. By November 2018, the boardwalk’s vice chairman of Dispatches blazoned that the water demesne would open in September 2019. Still, by that date, DreamWorks Water Park’s opening had been delayed to November 27, 2019. In October 2019, browsers began testing the1.5-acre surgepool.Six days before the listed opening, Triple Five blazoned that they were delaying the water demesne opening again due to undisclosedreasons.On February 25, 2020, the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs blazoned that 18 of the 27 lifts at the demesne had been audited and approved for opening. Of the other nine, four had completed engineering review and were ready for examination, and the last five lifts were still in engineeringreview.On February 27, 2020, DreamWorks Water Park blazoned an opening date of March 19, 2020. Still, due to the onset of the COVID-19 epidemic in New Jersey, its opening was delayed formerly again. On September 3, 2020, American Dream blazoned the new opening date for the waterpark, which opened along with the rest of the boardwalk on October 1, 2020. On October 1, 2020, DreamWorks Water Park officiallyopened.DreamWorks Water Park occupies six stories conterminous to Nickelodeon Universe AmericanDream.According to the boardwalk’s organizers, DreamWorks Water Park is the largest inner water demesne in the United States, at8.5 acres. There are 1 water slides and about 15 lodestones themed toward specific DreamWorksfranchises.Specific areas include an area themed around Shrek’s Soggy Swamp, a Kung ■■ Panda-themed children’s play area called the Kung ■■ Panda Zone, and a Madagascar-themed palace called Madagascar Rain Timber with 15 waterslides.All of the demesne’s water slides were simply developed by ProSlide Technology, a Canadiancompany.A lazy swash runs through some Shrek themed Decor. Inside is a1.5-acre (0.61 ha),-U.S.-gallon ( L) inner surge pool, the largest in the world. (4) DreamWorks Water Park also contains a set of battering slides, the world’s alternate-altitudinous body slides, starting from a height of 142 bases (43 m) and featuring a 50- bottom (15 m) freefall.Another magnet is a- bottom-long (490 m)"hydro-glamorous comber coaster called Toothless Trickling Torpedo"and a Proslide KrakenRACER mat racer slide called Dragon Racers. Dragon Racers and Toothless Trickeling Torpedo are the only lifts in DreamWorks Waterpark that are themed towards the How to Train Your Dragon ballot. The demesne includes a six- story channel slide and an eight-lane racingslide.There are also 31 luxury wickiups within DreamWorks Water Park. These were erected to plans by interior developer Jonathan Adler, a native NewJerseyan.Themed decorations include balloons of Shrek and Donkey from the Shrek movie ballot, and Alex and Marty from the Madagascar movie ballot 24 Characters similar as Shrek, ■■■■ In Thrills, Alex the Lion, King Julien, the Penguins of Madagascar, Po, and Poppy and Branch from Pixies, make diurnal appearances at the waterpark.The DreamWorks Water Park is alternately announced as the largest in North America, including the United States.
