The OA
The Original Angel is referred to as The OA. Prairie thinks she and the other victims of her kidnapping are “Angels.” The show’s protagonist is Prairie Johnson, an adopted teenager who turns up again after going missing for seven years.
Johnson calls herself “The OA” when she reappears; she has scars on her back and can see despite being blind at the time of her disappearance.
The OA quickly gathers a team of five locals to whom she reveals that information while also outlining her background story in place of telling the FBI and her adoptive parents where she has been and how her eyesight was restored.
Finally, she begs for their assistance in locating some other missing individuals in the same predicament she has just described.
