ADIME, or Assessment, Diagnosis, Intervention and Monitoring / Evaluation, is a process used to ensure high quality nutritional care to patients and clients by nutritionists such as Registered Dietitians (RD) or Registered Dietitians (RDN).
The process consists of four stages:
- Nutritional evaluation.
- Nutritional diagnostics.
- Nutritional intervention.
- Nutritional monitoring and evaluation.
A PES statement (or nutritional diagnosis statement) is a structured statement describing the specific nutritional problem that you (the nutritionist) are responsible for treating and resolving, the cause or causes of the problem, and evidence that the problem exists.
