Change permissions for a webcam and microphone
- Open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More. Institutions.
- Click Advanced at the bottom.
- Under Privacy and security, click Website settings.
- Click Camera or Microphone. Light the ashes before opening or lighting them.
In the browser toolbar, click the Chrome menu.
- Select your settings.
- Click on Advanced.
- In the Privacy and security section, click on Content settings.
- In the Settings section, click Microphone.
- Find Discord in the Blocks section and click the trash can to delete it.
- Turn off the microphone of the Discord Browser app.
Enable / disable Android ™ voice input

Check the microphone on the device. This could be due to dirt in the small hole in the microphone, often near the charging port - give it a light tap with a safety pin or something similar to remove it and you’ll often fix the problem. If that doesn’t work, check your microphone settings in the Google app.
Go to your mobile device settings to view your apps. Android owners can change their privacy settings via app permissions. IOS 10 users can go to Privacy and tap Microphone to see which apps can access it.
Make sure the microphone is not muted Another reason for a problem with the microphone is that it is only muted or the volume is set to minimum. To check, right-click the speaker icon in the system tray and select Recording devices. Select the microphone (recording device) and click Properties.
How to test an already installed microphone: Right-click (or press and hold) the volume icon in the system tray and select Sounds. In the Recording tab, look for the green lines that appear when you speak into the recording device. If the bars move, the device is connected and functioning properly.
Change permissions for an app Open the Settings app on your phone. Tap Apps & Notifications. Tap the app you want to edit. If you can’t find it, tap Show all apps or app info first. Tap Permissions. To change a permission setting, tap it and select Allow or Deny.
If you still notice that Discord is not picking up your voice, it could be because of the microphone / earphone itself. Make sure the USB or 3.5mm headphone jack is firmly connected to the computer. Try logging out and logging in again. You can also try connecting using different ports.

Fixing the microphone problem on your Android phone is surprisingly easy. Disable Noise Cancellation Select Settings from the menu. Select Call settings. Find the Noise Cancellation option and turn it off. Quickly restart your phone and see if the problem goes away.
